SMI’s process of turning, straightening, grinding and polishing produces a precision PSQ (Pump Shaft Quality) to the required tolerances of diameter and finish. Strict quality control procedures, from acceptance of the raw materials through to observing each stage of processing, ensures a product of high dimensional precision and mechanical properties.• High quality pump shafts (PSQ) to meet the highest required standards.• Carbon Steel C1045 for line shaft pumps.• Stainless Steel in a wide variety of grades; 304, 316, 416, 420 and 17-4ph for industrial and pumping applications.
